Valley Vet Supply has been selected as our November Dealer of the Month. Located in Marysville, Kansas, they are celebrating their 25th anniversary. ”Our direct marketing business began in 1985. Therefore, we are making this a year-long celebration!” says Valley Vet’s Merchandise Manager, Julie Haggard.
In 1973, Dr. Arnold Nagely opened Valley Veterinary Clinic near the current Marysville location. Dr. Ray Shultz joined the mixed practice in 1976. The direct marketing business evolved as a way to serve customers’ needs over a greater distance.
Having carried EasyCare products for a couple of decades, Valley Vet has seen a lot of changes. They now carry the full EasyCare product line. When asked what their top selling hoof boot is, Julie says, “We actually have two products that continually ‘race’ each other for the top spot: the Easyboot Epic and Easyboot Glove.”
Valley Vet attributes their success to great teamwork. The company asks EasyCare to conduct annual training seminars to continually upgrade product knowledge among their staff. Julie says, “The staff at EasyCare is very knowledgeable and very eager to share product features and applications. This in turn helps us to better serve our customer needs.”
When asked about the future of the hoof boot industry, Julie says, “I believe in this day and age consumers overall are becoming very informed and involved in their own health. In doing so, they find a very common thread between human health and animal health, thus taking more interest in ways to better provide for their horses. The hoof boot industry is very strong and continues to grow. With great developers like Garrett and all the crew at EasyCare, we are excited to see what new products will be released next.”
