Long Riders is a unique company. All of their employees share a passion for horses and you can often find them at events riding side by side with their customers. They don’t just sell products… they use what they sell. Not only do they pride themselves on service, but they give back to the animals and community as well. The gals at Long Riders Gear often spend their free time volunteering with the state parks, Coast Mounted Assistance, various animal rescue organizations and their local emergency horse evacuation organization, HEET.

Located on California’s central coast in San Luis Obispo, Long Riders Gear was formed in 1996 at a time when owner Tracy Bailey competed in competitive trail and endurance riding events. Tracy attributes Long Riders success to a variety of things. She says that passion and love of horses has given her the drive to grow the business. “We’ve been quite lucky,” Tracy says. “We were in the right place at the right time. Two years ago we chose to stop printing a catalog and focus on the website instead of print. Doing that really helped add to our success.”

Long Riders offers customers a comprehensive selection of quality, reasonably priced products including horse tack, riding apparel, horse accessories and horse trailer gear for everyone from the competitive distance trail horse and rider to pleasure horseback riders worldwide. They have carried a wide variety of EasyCare products for 13 years including, Stowaways, Stirrups, Comfort Pad, Easyboots, Bares, Epics, and Gloves. “Gloves are doing really well right now. We promoted them right away and I think that helped with sales”, says Tracy.

Tracy and her staff are all experienced trail riders. These friendly folks have the background to cater to each customer’s individual needs. .
