When EasyCare found out we had a junior rider entered in the hoof contest we were anxious to see what the final results would be. As the season came to a close this ambitious rider showed that she can ride with the best of them!
Thirteen year old Kadee Felton may be new to EasyCare’s 2009 Hoof Boot Contest but she’s no stranger to hoof boots! She finished in 6th place logging 823 miles with horses Morgan and Virga in this years contest. Not bad to make it to the top ten your first time around! Way to go Kadee!
Kadee has been riding since she was 2 years old. “I would ride with my dad on his horse. I started riding on a pony horse when I was 4 then told my mom that I did not want to be on a ‘leash’ anymore when I was 5. I did my first LD when I was 6 and my first 50 on our Palomino Mule Ima when I was 7,” she says.![]()
The Easyboot Epic is Kadee’s boot of choice. This young lady even does her own booting! “We have been using hoof boots for years as spares, but this has been the first year I have used them instead of shoes. They give my horse lots of good hoof protection and they are better for my horse than shoes or nails.”
She describes her horse Morgan, a BLM Mustang Palomino as her dream horse. She enjoys the challenge of endurance and having the opportunity to see a variety of different scenery. Kadee hopes to one day complete at Tevis.
